How it works

All our buildings and structures are manufactured to order, which means you’re able to create the exact design that suits your needs. We offer a free shed design, measure up and quote service.

Complete our quote request Contact Form & schedule a time that suits you for a site measure. Or contact us via 1300 4 UPSPEC & one of our friendly team will assist you.

One of expert team members will carry out a FREE Design consultation & organize a site inspection (if required)

Your dedicated sales team member will then draw up your structure & supply you with a proposal.

We ask you to check everything you require is included in your proposal & approve.

Your design will be finalized (a final site check measure maybe required at this time) & proceed with engineering of your structure.

A building contract as well as your finalized engineered plans will then be supplied for you to review, sign & return.

If your project requires council approval, we will start the process at this time.

Your materials order will be placed & you will receive an order confirmation.

Any additional services will be organised at this time (e.g concrete or plumbing) to co-inside with our building timeline.

One of our team members will contact you with a delivery ETA roughly 1 week before delivery is due to organise a day that suits you. You can let our team know of any special delivery instructions at this time. Delivery will be made via a crane truck which will need some clearance to unload your materials.

Construction of your new structure will commence by one of our experienced build crews.

Your warranty certificate & handover certificate will be issued. We will organize any final inspections that may be required for OC etc.

Yes we do supply free designs & quotes. Simply get in touch with our friendly team via the contact us page or phone (02) 7209 4210 & we can supply you with quote. Alternatively, you can design your own shed via our online designer which will give you an instant quote for your shed kit. We also offer site inspections by a qualified shed builder for those more difficult designs or projects.

Once you place your order with Upspec, our kits take approximately 6-8 weeks to be engineered, manufactured & delivered to site. Our building team will be onsite not long after to begin construction. Construction time varies depending on the size & design of your structure. Construction timeframes can also be heavily impacted by weather. Our team can advise you of your project timeline once your delivery date is confirmed. If your project requires council approval this does take some time also.

Every structure built by Upspec is backed by our 24 month construction warranty. This covers any issues that may arise from construction faults e.g leaking gutter. However this does not cover any damages caused by weather or human error. Every structure supplied by Upspec comes with a minimum 20-year structural warranty against any structural defects that may occur & materials backed by a BlueScope warranty, this does not include faults caused by weather or human error.

There are many factors that make a home improvement structure or shed different in price, these can include: Use of Australian or imported steel – Upspec only uses Australian made Bluescope steel. Site specific engineering for wind & terrain categories – All our structures are individually, site specific, designed & engineered. Customization options – Upspec have no standard size or style, we design exactly what you require with a huge range of customisation options including: eave overhang, mezzanine floors, dividing walls etc Supply only verse whole project management – Unlike most shed suppliers we don’t just sell you the kit and supply you a list of builders to follow up. We are the builders so you deal with 1 company through out the whole project. Supply of engineering & construction warranties.

When we supply you a proposal for your project we try to include everything upfront in your quote so you have no surprises mid-project, if for some reason we encounter an unforeseen issue that wasn’t, we will always supply a quote before proceeding with any changes. We always keep you informed & our pricing upfront.

We endeavour to make paying for our products & services as simple as possible. We have a range of payment methods to suit your chosen method of payments including direct deposit, online credit card or bank cheque. We also have finance options through HandyPay

Our payment schedules differ depending on your project type, however, we break up all our payments so you are only paying for what you receive e.g deposit (to book in & procure engineering), manufacture (for manufacture of your structure), delivery (prior to delivery) on frame completion (once the frame is built) & on final completion. We will never ask for full payment of your structure upfront or for any money where you see no value. As the payments are spread out over the duration of the project it makes things easier for your cash flow!

Yes we certainly can. We do the hard work & paperwork for you including drafting of proposed site plans & elevations, completing Statement of Environmental Effects & Waste management plan, all engineering drawings, lodging your DA application & engaging a certifier for the Construction/Occupation certificates.

We can supply patio, steel deck & shed kits to most areas of Australia in DIY form. A construction manual will be supplied & we can offer a consultation service by a qualified builder if required at an additional cost.
